Teknik Mesin
Program Studi Teknik Mesin merupakan salah satu jurusan yang membekali mahasiswa dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam merancang, menganalisis, mengembangkan, dan memelihara sistem mekanis. Teknik Mesin mencakup berbagai disiplin ilmu seperti mekanika, termodinamika, material, manufaktur, serta teknologi energi. Melalui kurikulum yang komprehensif, mahasiswa dilatih untuk menjadi problem solver yang mampu menciptakan solusi inovatif dalam berbagai bidang industri.
Di Program Studi Teknik Mesin, mahasiswa akan belajar tentang desain dan pengembangan mesin, energi terbarukan, mekatronika, serta manufaktur. Selain itu, program ini juga menawarkan kesempatan untuk melakukan penelitian dan proyek dalam bidang yang sedang berkembang, seperti otomasi industri, rekayasa material, serta teknologi ramah lingkungan.
Fasilitas laboratorium yang modern dan dosen yang berpengalaman menjadikan lingkungan belajar di Teknik Mesin sangat kondusif untuk pengembangan keterampilan praktis dan teoritis. Mahasiswa juga didorong untuk berpartisipasi dalam magang, kompetisi teknik, dan kolaborasi dengan industri untuk memperluas wawasan dan pengalaman mereka.

- Menyelenggarakan dan mengembangkan pendidikan dan pengajaran secara profesional, berstandar mutu dan dinamis sesuai dengan perkembangan IPTEK yang menginternalisasi nilai nilai keislaman

Profile
Mechanical Engineering Study Program is one of the majors that equip students with knowledge and skills in designing, analyzing, developing, and maintaining mechanical systems. Mechanical Engineering covers various disciplines such as mechanics, thermodynamics, materials, manufacturing, and energy technology. Through a comprehensive curriculum, students are trained to become problem solvers who are able to create innovative solutions in various industrial fields.
In the Mechanical Engineering Study Program, students will learn about machine design and development, renewable energy, mechatronics, and manufacturing. In addition, the program also offers opportunities to conduct research and projects in emerging fields, such as industrial automation, materials engineering, and environmentally friendly technology.
Modern laboratory facilities and experienced lecturers make the learning environment in Mechanical Engineering very conducive to the development of practical and theoretical skills. Students are also encouraged to participate in internships, engineering competitions, and collaborations with industry to broaden their horizons and experience.
History
UIR Mechanical Engineering Study Program was officially established on March 14, 1984, with Establishment Decree Number PS 064/SK/KOP.I/1984. As part of UIR’s efforts to answer the need for experts in the field of Mechanical Engineering in Indonesia, especially in the Riau region. Its presence is one of the important milestones in the development of Engineering higher education at UIR, which aims to produce graduates who are competent, have integrity, and are ready to contribute to industrial development and technological innovation.
UIR Mechanical Engineering Study Program also collaborates with various parties, both at the local, national and international levels, in order to improve the quality of education and research. UIR Mechanical Engineering Study Program is committed to continue to produce graduates who are superior and highly competitive in the national and international arena. Currently, based on BAN PT Decree Number: 278/SK/BAN-PT/Ak-PPJ/S/I/2020, the accreditation rating of Mechanical Engineering Study Program is accredited B.
